Fighting Illini Epilepsy Awareness Game

November 25, 2018 - The University of Illinois lit the State Farm Arena purple as a part of the Athletes vs Epilepsy - Epilepsy Awareness game this past Sunday in Champaign -Urbana.  The Fighting Illini Men's Basketball team posted an 87-67 win against Mississippi Valley State University.  Players warmed up in Athletes vs Epilepsy shirts prior to the game. Purple pom-poms and Athletes vs Epilepsy - Strength Over Epilepsy bracelets were distributed to those in attendance to cheer on the team and show their support.  Pre-game ceremonies were highlighted by a video (click link) which showcased young Braylon Walker, son of Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Jamall and wife, Rebekah Walker.  The Walker's are helping to make an impact as ambassadors for Athletes vs Epilepsy and helped to establish this awareness game and fundraiser, along with the University of Illinois Athletics Department staff.    Click here to make a donation and show your support!
